Momentum
has a proven track record of successfully identifying and developing
partnerships from two decades of business development experience.
We identify and evaluate partners for clients, structure and negotiate
the partnership, and manage the relationship over time.
We
formed our first alliance in 1979 between T&N, a British multinational,
and the state materials company of Communist Poland. That venture
grew to become T&N’s most successful diversification business.
In 2003, Columbia University chose one of our startup ventures,
Kasskh, as an example of successful multiple alliances in all stages
of developing the business, from research, to trials and testing,
to regulatory approval, to marketing, sales, and distribution.
In
our experience, just as all companies are different, all alliances
are different. We customize each alliance we oversee and focus on
those specific aspects in the particular relationship that are critical
for achieving best results most efficiently. We have learned that
an important factor in alliance success is the compatibility of
cultures among partners, and in the case of international or cross-segment
alliances, that added level of complexity must be addressed upfront.
Aligning corporate cultures greatly strengthens alliances, and its
incompatibility is a major cause of business failure. We are able
to help clients effectively work with these issues based on our
extensive international experience.
